1 This was the first meeting of the committee for 2 the next session 1963-64. All six members 3 were present. There was a general discussion 4 about the next sessions activities of the 5 society, the chairman putting forward a 6 number of new ideas including the provision 7 of coffee after meetings, a sherry party and 8 a Huxley Hop to try and encourage more 9 social intercourse. It was also suggested that 10 other colleges, preferably women’s, should be 11 invited to meetings. However it was thought 12 that very few female students could be 13 persuaded to turn up to meetings at IC - if 14 any. The meeting adjourned at 7.0p.m for liquid 15 refreshment.
