1 The meeting was opened by the chairman at 5.55 pm. 2 The arrangements for Fresher’s Day were discussed 3 and it was decided to provide a printed handout 4 on the stall setting out the aims of the society. 5 There was also to be an article in ‘Felix’ to 6 attract any fresher’s who didn’t see the stall. 7 A list of possible speakers for the following 8 terms meetings was drawn up and the 9 committee was shown the duplicated postcard 10 from Sir Julian Huxley refusing to address 11 the society. There was more discussion about 12 inviting students from other colleges and it was 13 decided to place posters in the various women’s 14 colleges in the area informing them of the meetings 15 and hope for the best. The meeting adjourned 16 at 7.0p.m.
