1 Held in members room in Tizard Hall and opened by the 2 chairman at 1.30p.m. There were four members of the 3 committee present, the first quorate meeting for some 4 time. The President expressed concern at the levels
5 of interest shown by R. Graham . Brown, the secretary 6 who was again absent from the meeting. There 7 followed a statement of the finances of the society 8 by the president (for the treasurer) giving 9 details of the loss incurred by the sherry party on 10 the 9th. It was thought that this loss would be 11 covered by the profit obtained from the sale of 12 books. The supply of posters for advertising had 13 almost run out but the treasurer doubted if 14 the society could afford to buy replacements at 15 £2 for 500 through the S.C.C, even though 16 this offer seemed very fair. There then followed 17 a short discussion on the problem of the secretary 18 who failed to do his job properly. It was decided 19 to give him the opportunity to resign and to transfer 20 his duties to the vice-chairman. Also to co-opt 21 another member onto the committee to take the 22 responsibility for advertising. The meeting closed 23 at 2.20p.m.
