1 Meeting opened at 6.10 p.m. in 2 Committee Room C with all members of 3 the Committee present.
4 1. Minutes M
5 The minutes of the previous
6 meeting were read and duly signed.
7 2.Matters Arising.
8 Since a General Studies meeting
9 could not now be arranged for
10 term, we had missed the opportunity
11 of a talk by Mrs. Margaret
12 Knight.
13 It was agreed that no
14 discussion meetings in members’ houses would
15 be arranged until after a few
16 meetings, when we could see what
17 sort of attendance we could hope
18 for.
19 Mr. Thompson had maintained
20 the Society’s tenuous link with
21 ‘Scrutiny’ by submitting an article
22 to the latest ~editors~ issue, now
23 in preparation.

3 4. The A.G.M.
4 It was agreed that the
5 AGM should preced a meeting which
6 did not involve any external speaker,
7 lest he write deprecatory letters to
8 the ‘Guardian”. hence a discussion
9 meeting on ‘Euthanasia’ was provisionally
10 arranged for 16th March, to be
11 preceded at 7.00 by the AGM
12 5.A.O.B.
13 The questions of advertising &
14 a symbol for the Society were
15 discussed, to little effect.
16 Signed,
17 Graham Thompson
