4 The Assistant Secretary had
5 forgotten to bring the Minute-book;
6 he added three black marks to
7 the his collection.
8 2.Matters Arising
9 A report on the year’s
10 meetings was required from the
11 Assistant Secretary, both for the
12 AGM and the S.C.C.
13 3.Correspondence
14 Humanist Approach were supplying
15 us regularly; the Secretary was
16 requested to begin the practice of
17 sending written thanks to speakers,
18 beginning with Mr. S.B. Cootes; and
19 ~M~ the Publicity Officer was requested
20 to write a letter to Felix
21 complaining of the conditions of the
22 notice-board

1 4.Finance.
2 We had about four pounds left
3 in various categories. Means of financing
4 ~the~ printed membership cards for next
5 year were discussed.
6 5.Forthcoming Meetings
7 The Assistant Secretary was instructed
8 to duplicate notices publicizing Dr. Hemming’s
9 talk, but more especially the AGM
10 on 16th March, and inviting nominations
11 for posts on the Committee.
12 6.AGM
13 Two Constitutional changes were to
14 be proposed by Mr. Thompson. The first
15 was:
16 “that in Clause 4, the phrase
17 “on payment of 1/6d.” be amended
18 to “on payment of a fee to be
19 decided by the Committee”
20 and the record:
21 “that the post of President
22 be re-named Chairman; and that the
23 post of Vice-President be deleted.”
24 7. Forthcoming Meetings
25 Nominations were taken for
26 several Committee posts, and entered

1 on the form which the Assistant 2 Secretary was instructed to post on 3 the Society’s notice-board.
4 7. Forthcoming Meetings
5 Mssrs. Cooper and Crowe were finally
6 delegated to speak ~for~ against and
7 for Euthanasia at the discussion
8 meeting following the AGM.
9 Negotiations were to continue in the
10 hope of arranging the joint
11 Huxley-Catholic meeting.

15 were solicited from the Committee.
